Sanju Samson Ruled Out.
PUNE: Due to a knee injury, India batter Sanju Samson has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing T20I series against Sri Lanka.
During the first T20I in Mumbai on Tuesday, Samson injured his left knee while attempting to field a ball near the boundary ropes.
“The BCCI Medical Team took Samson for scans and a specialist opinion this afternoon in Mumbai and has advised rest and rehabilitation,” a BCCI media release stated.
Jitesh Sharma was named as Samson’s replacement by the selection committee on Wednesday.
