Prabhas will play role as Kalki in Kalki 2898 AD. Uppalapati Venkata Suryanarayana Prabhas Raju is an Indian actor who primarily appears in Telugu films. Prabhas is one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema, having appeared on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2015. He has also received seven Filmfare Award nominations, a Nandi Award, and a SIIMA Award.
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone, a Hindi film actress, signed on to play the lead opposite Prabhas in July 2020. Padukone makes her Telugu film debut in this picture. According to Bollywood Hungama, her role was originally “not substantial” but was changed to better fit her celebrity.
Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwathama. Amitabh Bachchan received a full-length role in the film in October. In Telugu, the movie would be Bachchan’s first feature-length performance after his brief cameos in Manam (2014) and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019).

Amitabh Bachchan's new poster from Kalki 2898 AD goes viral
On Amitabh Bachchan’s 81st birthday, the cast of the upcoming mythological-sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD presented him with a poster from the film. The first look poster depicts Bachchan’s character as a sage standing upright in what appears to be a cave, with sunlight falling directly on top of him. Only his eyes can be seen in the megastar’s poster, which features a thick beard.

Set in the distant future of 2898 AD, the first glimpse of Kalki 2898 AD begins with the message: “When the world is taken over by darkness, a force rises,” establishing the tone for the good vs evil saga. As the video progresses, we are transported to an oppressive, dystopian world in which Prabhas emerges as a beacon of hope for those who have been brutally treated by the dark forces.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, director Nag Ashwin explained the meaning of the film’s title. “Kalki is one of the words used to describe the second coming of Vishnu’s avatar in one of our stories. “Kalki is the person who represents what other religions have in the second coming,” Ashwin said.
